More than a dozen students from Preston High School got a lesson in leadership and teamwork Tuesday, all thanks to a "unicorn."
In this case, the girls' unicorn is a training vessel built for the non-profit group Sisters Under Sail. The organization's all-female crew paid a visit to Maritime College in Throgs Neck where they're taught the teenage girls to build confidence through the fundamentals of sailing.
The ship is currently on a five-day journey from New Jersey to Connecticut and has hosted more than 450 young girls at the helm so far.
