The monkeypox virus continues to spread across New York City, with 50 new presumed cases emerging in the last 24 hours.
This all comes as city health officials are announcing new sites to get vaccinated. The Health Department says just over 8,000 new appointments will go live Friday at 6 p.m. and three mass vaccination clinics will be held this coming weekend.
Mass vaccination clinics will be appointment only and only open this coming Sunday. The locations for the clinics are at the Bronx High School of Science, Aviation High School in Queens and Bushwick Education in Brooklyn.
To stay on top of when new appointments are available, the city says residents can text ‘monkeypox’ to 692692 for free alerts.
