A number of products made in the borough are now certified by the "Brooklyn Made" program.
Some of the products that will carry the logo are found at By Brooklyn on Smith Street. Cracked Candy, Liddabit Sweets and Jomart Chocolates are part of the first wave of merchandise that are certified "Brooklyn Made."
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce chose 41 products as winners of the "Brooklyn Made" program. The products will get a gold, silver or bronze logo.
The Chamber of Commerce says 47 businesses submitted applications for the certification. They were chosen based on a points system that evaluated products on standards like how many employees live in the borough and where design and development takes place.
