The completion date for work at a Park Slope playground has been delayed, leaving residents with a sense of skepticism.
The Parks Department allowed developer Shaya Boymelgreen to use Terrapin Playground as a staging area while completing work on a nearby condominium. In exchange, the developer agreed to pump $2.5 million worth of renovations into the public space by the end of summer.
However, the deadline has now been put off until late fall. Some residents and Community Board 6 members expressed doubt that the playground will be restored in time to meet the new looming deadline.
News 12 Brooklyn is awaiting comment from Boymelgreen about the delay.
