A man was arrested Wednesday in connection to the
discovery of his girlfriend’s body stuffed in a trash bag, the Mercer County’s
Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the prosecutor’s office, Alton Eubanks,
48, of Trenton, is charged with purposefully disturbing, moving and/or
concealing human remains in the Sept. 21 death of Corrine Daniels, 41, of Trenton.
The prosecutor’s office says Trenton Communications received a
call that day for a well-being check at a residence on Park
Avenue.
Officers forced entry and located the body of a
deceased individual in the basement. An autopsy was conducted the next day, and
the victim was identified as Daniels. The cause and manner of death are pending as
the medical examiner's office awaits the results of additional testing.
An investigation revealed she and Eubanks lived together at the Park
Avenue address as boyfriend and girlfriend. After her death, Eubanks allegedly placed her body in a black trash bag and moved her to the basement where
she was located by officers.
