Prosecutors have charged a Longwood middle school staff member, her husband and a friend with stealing over $173,000 from Middle School 302.

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office says the scheme spanned four years, during which Rusnelly Clase, a community associate at the school, allegedly submitted fake vendor invoices and purchase orders for items never delivered.

Investigators say the money was funneled to her husband and friend, whom she listed as vendors with the Department of Education.

The trio was charged with corruption, grand larceny and fraud. They are all out on supervised release and are due back in court on Jan. 28.
