The Prospect Park Zoo opened on Saturday, nearly 240 days after Tropical Storm Ophelia caused devastating flood damage to multiple buildings.
“[The community] missed us and they’re happy to have us open, and we’re certainly happy to have them back,” said Craig Gibbs, curator and assistant director at the zoo.
News 12's Daniella Rodriguez was there for the grand re-opening and spoke to Brooklyn residents about all the excitement.
