A number of members from a small pro-labor group came out today to protest the United States Postal Service's planned closure of more than a dozen Bronx post offices.
The postal service announced the closure of more than 3,000 post offices across the county to reduce its costs.
The group says the postal service has been unfairly targeted by a law forcing it to pre-fund its pension obligations to the tune of $5.5 billion every year.
The protesters say they will travel to Manhattan to continue their protest over the planned post office closures.
