A Brooklyn classroom has taken first place in an annual student PSA contest from the Department of Transportation.
The fifth-graders from P.S. 90 in Coney Island were awarded a $1,000 grant for the winning public service announcement shot on the iconic boardwalk.
More than 100 schools submitted videos for the competition, which aims to increase awareness about the importance of walking.
The top three student PSAs will now be incorporated into the DOT's safety curriculum at schools across the city.
