A public space on the second floor of a Brooklyn library is giving musicians and artists an opportunity to be heard.
Spaceworks NYC has partnered with the Williamsburgh Library on Division Street for the month of June to offer the space to musicians to rehearse for free.
June is New York Music month.
Latasha Alcindor grew up in Brooklyn and recently used the space with her band.
Pianos and other instruments are also provided within the space.
In addition to a music space, the nonprofit group has also provided an area for painters and a dance studio for dancers.
