Bronx residents of Puerto Rican descent are keeping an eye on Hurricane Fiona as it makes it's way to the Caribbean island.
President Joe Biden signed an emergency declaration Sunday morning which deploys local response efforts ahead of possible damage Fiona could leave behind.
In exclusive video obtained by News 12, strong winds and heavy rain are visible on the island.
"Nuyoricans" – Puerto Ricans who reside in New York – expressed concern and reflected on the damages that Hurricane Maria left behind. They said Fiona could bring even more struggle.
Residents who were dining at Made in Puerto Rico in Throggs Neck said they are worried about the damages Fiona could bring, but they are hoping for the best.
