Pump Patrol: Pipeline cyberattack causes rise in gas prices
Some gas stations on the East Coast have reportedly run out of gas, while others have seen customers hoarding gas.

There has been a slight spike
in prices at the pump since Colonial Pipeline had to close operations after the
attack.
The American Automobile
Association says gas prices have gone up about two cents from yesterday.
News 12’s Joanna Hernandez was
in Thunderbolt 12 and saw a pattern of gas prices from around $3.09 a gallon to
$3.39 a gallon.
A gas station on Hutchinson
River Parkway was on the high end with $4.79 a gallon, while drivers on South
Conduit Boulevard could get gas for $2.87 a gallon paying in cash.

Coast have reportedly run out of gas, while others have seen customers hoarding
gas.
The pipeline is likely to be
back to normal in the coming days.
