The sun finally shined its rays on the first day of summer and Father's Day after a rainy and gloomy Sunday morning.
Prospect Park residents who spoke to News 12 say they made the best of their day despite the rain, while others say their early plans were washed away.
A number of bicyclists and runners were seen taking advantage of the dreary weather which kept most people indoors in the morning.
The rest of the week will see mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s.
