Family and friends who have lost loved ones to gun violence gathered Saturday in East New York to call for peace.
Residents marched from Linden Park to the Linden Houses, where gun violence has plagued the community in recent years.
The event was part of the National Day of Non-Violence, a movement to champion peace. People gathered in over 40 cities across the country to support the cause.
Ending domestic violence was also a focus of the event.
