A rare bird is thrilling some Brooklyn residents who have spotted it in Prospect Park.
People of all ages are coming to the park to catch a glimpse of an adult male painted bunting.
The species is known for its rainbow-colored feathers, and is usually found in southern parts of the United States.
Bird watchers say the species has been in decline partly because of bird trappers who seek to sell the birds on the black market.
