Built Brands is voluntarily recalling more than 4,100 of its Banana Cream Pie Puffs protein bars.

The FDA says routine tests determined select bars could be potentially contaminated with pathogenic e-coli.

The product was distributed nationwide through the mail to more than 1,000 potential customers.

The product comes in a 40-gram package marked with the lot number D22151011.

Customers who bought the bar with that number are encouraged to dispose of them. They can get a refund or replacement.
