The red carpet was laid out for some of New York City’s high school seniors to make their announcement for their college decisions.

Organizers from Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York celebrated this monumental milestone with a decision day block party for the incoming college freshmen.

“I think out of all the schools I got into, my choice was the hardest choice to make in my entire life,” said Sade Santana, incoming Villanova student.

Students walked up and down the red carpet, sporting gear from their future colleges. Boys Hope Girls Hope has helped to pave the way for many seniors to get to this point through financial aid workshops and career workshops along with college campus visits.

“Because of this program, I got a full ride to NYU because of a scholarship my college counselor provided for me,” said Sophonie Blaise, who is set to start at NYU in the fall.

Boys Hope Girls Hope says their mission is to guide the youth onto the path of education, ensuring they are prepared to start their careers.
