The Red Cross has stepped in to support 90 people following a wave of fires in Brooklyn.
The organization provided aid to those affected by at least 14 fires across the borough in a one-week period.
Among the most recent incidents was a devastating four-alarm fire on Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, which broke out Saturday night.
The fire displaced several families, and the Red Cross helped at least eight individuals find temporary housing.
Cleanup efforts continue at the scene, with the sidewalk still blocked off as crews work to secure the area.
The Red Cross’s efforts also extended to a fire on East 38th Street in Flatlands earlier this week, which impacted multiple families.
It assisted 11 families in the aftermath after they lost their homes.
The FDNY is offering critical fire safety tips to help prevent future tragedies.
They emphasize the importance of maintaining up-to-date smoke detectors, having a clear exit plan, and ensuring electrical cords are not exposed to potential hazards.
