Red, green and yellow flags on display at the Guyana Day Cultural Festival in Coney Island
Music rocked the stage as red, green and yellow flags painted the sky all in celebration of the Guyana Day Cultural Festival Sunday at the Coney Island Amphitheater.
Guyanese music artists entertained as the crowds proudly waved their red, green and yellow flags to proudly represent one people, one nation and one destiny.
One of the largest ethnic groups of the city made their voices heard with a celebration of Guyanese culture.
The land of six people -- Africans, Indians, Chinese, Portuguese, European, and Ameri Indian -- all united under one roof for the festival hosted by Caribbean Power Jam Radio.
Guyanese neighbors came to see some of their favorite artists, including Little J, Brandon Harding and Shelly G.
Some artists even skipped the performances and helped out backstage.
For those who missed them on Sunday but can fly abroad next month, some of the artists said they will be heading back to Guyana on Sept. 16t for another huge concert.
