A Gravesend high school is helping its staff, students and neighbors who were hit hard by Superstorm Sandy by setting up a special relief shelter. P.S. 721K received a shipment today of emergency supplies all the way from Virginia. A teacher at the occupational school for students with developmental disabilities set up the donation drop after seeing how badly some students and faculty suffered from Sandy. The teacher, John Gianniny, says the donations were the result of an outpouring of support from his own former high school and the surrounding community in Virginia.
