According to a recent report, older pedestrians in The Bronx are at greater risk of being killed by drivers than in other counties in the tri-state area.
The Tri-State Transportation Campaign says that The Bronx ranks fourth out of 12 counties in the region for older pedestrian fatalities, with 27 people killed between 2008 and 2010.
The campaign is urging that the state dedicate more funding toward making roads safer for pedestrians.
