City officials are looking into reports that FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro used two crews of firefighters to clear snow from in front of his home in Whitestone, Queens, according to reports.
They say investigators are reviewing how two trucks allegedly were sent to Nigro's house, potentially making them unavailable to respond to emergencies.
Neither the FDNY or the Department of Investigation have commented publicly on the allegation, but the president of the firefighters union released a statement dismissing the accusations.
"Further, our units have the ability to be reassigned within seconds," the statement concluded.
