Report: Moderna vaccine performs well in children ages 6-11

Moderna is releasing new evidence that its COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective in children ages 6 to 11.
A New England Journal of Medicine report says the vaccine performed well in children, with only mild side effects.
There were also no serious adverse reactions reported among kids ages 6 to 11.
Right now, Pfizer has the only coronavirus vaccine the Food and Drug Administration has authorized for children.
Moderna and Pfizer have asked the FDA to authorize their vaccines for children as young as 6 months old. A decision on that could come in June.
