A new report by the state comptroller shows that there is strong economic growth in Sunset Park.
State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli said Wednesday that the number of businesses in Sunset Park grew by 56 percent between 2000 and 2014.
Many of the new businesses are involved in health care, but fashion and food manufacturing are also boosting the area's economic revival.
DiNapoli delivered the report's findings from the Brooklyn Army Terminal, which has now become home to dozens of businesses.
The population of Sunset Park is also booming, according to the report, with a growing immigrant community largely comprised of Asian and Latino residents.
