The landlord behind a Bronx apartment building evacuated due to missing fire escapes is surrounded by hundreds of code violations, according to reports.
Phillip Goldfarb reportedly owns 14 buildings throughout the city, including the Webb Avenue complex where 200 tenants were forced out last week. In the last decade, his buildings have received more than 300 violations.
Tenants at a Woodycrest Avenue building, also owned by Godlfarb, say they constantly have problems and complain that getting repairs is a complicated process.
News 12 The Bronx reached out to Goldfarb for comment, but has not yet heard back.
