Reproductive rights will be protected in New Jersey.
The U.S. attorney for New Jersey and the acting New Jersey attorney general joined forces to ensure access to reproductive health care for women.
Abortions will continue to be legal in New Jersey.
This comes as the United States Supreme Court overturned the Roe v. Wade decision, which had stated the right to have an abortion was protected under the Constitution.
"While the right to control one's own body is central to individual freedom, the Court's decision denies millions of women that right by preventing them from being able to make critical and highly personal decisions about their bodies, their health, and their futures,” U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger said.
Women from out-of-state will also have open access to reproductive health services in New Jersey.
