Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino visited Brooklyn Tuesday morning to greet voters and share his vision for New York.
Astorino, currently the Westchester County executive, was joined by other lawmakers as he greeted commuters at the 77th Street R train station in Bay Ridge.
Astorino says some of his biggest plans as governor would be lowering taxes and bringing jobs back to New York.
After visiting Bay Ridge, Astorino went to Borough Park, where he visited the Tomchei Shabbos food distribution warehouse. The nonprofit is currently preparing care packages to distribute for Rosh Hashanah. Astorino says he wanted to visit the Jewish community in Brooklyn because he is a staunch supporter of Israel.
