Nine puppies who were rescued from a Gravesend home last week after reports that they were being neglected are slowly being nursed back to health at an Oceanside animal clinic.
When they were first rescued, many of the dogs looked malnourished and had parasites. Now, veterinarians and volunteers are working to make the dogs happy and healthy.
Once they're back to full strength, the dogs will be put in foster care until they can find a forever home.
The NYPD Animal Cruelty Investigation Squad is reportedly looking into the case.
