Residents at Hylan Houses in Williamsburg may begin voting today for the second time to decide the future of their homes.

The first round of voting, which ended in December, resulted in a tie between two options: the New York City Public Housing Preservation Trust and the Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) program.

The runoff vote gives tenants the chance to choose between the two programs. Both would transition the development from Section 9 public housing to Section 8, unlocking federal funding for repairs and renovations.

The Public Housing Preservation Trust would keep the development fully public, while PACT would bring in a third-party company to handle renovations and daily management.

Residents have until March 27 to cast their votes, with the results expected to be announced in early April.
