Beachgoers who hit up Manhattan Beach Wednesday say warning signs like, ?Swim at your own risk,? weren?t posted where everyone can see them.
The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene posted signs at Manhattan Beach advising people to not enter the waters due to toxicity and high levels of bacteria. Because beachgoers say they didn?t see the signs, many of them played in the sand and in the water without caution.
Some people saw the signs and still went into the water, considering the warning as optional.
According to the Department of Health, the advisories are now lifted.
