Some residents braved the bitter cold Sunday and headed to the Lefrak ice skating rink in Prospect Park.
Resident Ian Savage spent time with his daughter, Grace, and said the cold wouldn't keep them from skating.
"It's a beautiful day, it's fantastic," he says. "Blue skies, fresh air, hard ice. It doesn't get better than this."
Rink manager Simone deRushe says that while a few braved the bone-chilling temperatures, many stayed at home.
"On a normal Sunday, my lines would be down the wall, going around the corner," he says.
