The 26th annual lighting of the MetroTech Christmas tree was held Monday.
Dozens of Brooklyn residents attended the ceremony, gathering around the tree to celebrate.
"It's really just the holiday season, that's what it is," says Munib Ahsan. "You get very excited."
The event featured live reindeer, clowns from the Big Apple Circus performing stunts and carolers singing Christmas favorites.
Families were also able to take pictures on a sleigh.
The tree will be on display for the entire holiday season.
