Bronx residents don?t have to travel far to enjoy some free summer fun.
The borough hosts various events that are free to those who attend. For those who love to learn about history, the City Island Bronx Seaside Trolley brings people to the Bartow-Pell Mansion the first Friday of every month. While touring the mansion, residents can enjoy a free wine and cheese party.
Those who enjoy culture can hop on the Bronx Cultural Trolley on the first Wednesday of every month. The trolley gives free tours of Bronx cultural hot spots. The trolley leaves from the Longwood Art Gallery at Hostos College.
For residents who love to just walk around the Grand Concourse, cars are banished from the streets every Sunday during the summer. Residents are able to walk and ride bikes without the hassle of traffic.
Music lovers can head to Roberto Clemente State Park every Saturday at 2 p.m. to enjoy the annual Summer Concert Series.
