People living on Saint Marks Avenue in Crown Heights say that police are giving them parking tickets as payback after an officer was hurt there last weekend.
Residents say about 20 cars have gotten tickets in the past two days along Saint Marks Avenue between Albany and Kingston.
"I'm holding a ticket given to me yesterday for a missing plate but I have both plates on my car," said one resident.
Area residents say the ticketing is because of an incident that happened at 959 Saint Marks Ave. early Sunday morning.
Police were in the neighborhood investigating a shooting when someone from the fifth floor allegedly threw a bicycle off the balcony, hitting an officer on the head and severely injuring him.
One resident claims that when he asked an officer why he got a ticket, the officer allegedly responded that it was "payback time."
Officers in the area would not comment on the mass ticketing.
