Some Brooklyn residents are campaigning to bring the Democratic National Convention to the Barclays Center in 2016.
New York is one of three finalists that might win the coveted opportunity. Mayor Bill de Blasio's Office and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership have already begun promoting the prospect on social media.
Columbus, Ohio and Philadelphia are the two other cities that Brooklyn is competing against.
A decision will be made some time in the early part of 2015.
