Residents raise concerns over double parking on Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay

Residents in Sheepshead Bay are raising serious concerns over double parking on Emmons Avenue. They say it has become downright dangerous, especially between Bedford and Coney Island avenues.

Residents also say the backup is the worst is in the mornings around 9 a.m. and after 2 p.m.

"Some it's a quick errand for food or a quick drink or delivery or pickup, and there's other people who feel entitled and they can just park there for five to10 minutes," Ty Nelson, who works in the area, said.

But residents say nothing is being done about the illegal parking on Emmons Avenue.

"I've seen a lot of police cars just passing by and nothing else," Vadim Tsigel, a Sheepshead Bay resident said.

News 12 reached out to the NYPD for comment and will provide updates when a response is received. New Yorkers can report illegal parking to 311.
