Residents on one Bronx block say they are tired of speeding cars whizzing down Boller Avenue, which was once a quiet dead end.
Boller Avenue now connects a neighborhood to I-95 and has become a busy throughway, according to residents.
The residents complain speeding drivers ignore the children playing outside and pose a danger. They are looking to officials to regulate the traffic.
Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion told News 12 The Bronx traffic regulations on newly constructed blocks like the one on Boller Avenue are sometimes forgotten. Carrion said he would be in contact with the Department of Transportation.
DOT says it will begin a 12-week study to determine if it is necessary to put in a speed bump.
Residents say they don?t expect overnight changes but trust Carrion to get the ball rolling on the issue.
