Restaurant Week began this week on Grand Street in Williamsburg.

The third annual event runs from Aug. 21 to Aug. 27. It features more than 14 restaurants offering exclusive deals.

Each restaurant offers lunch specials as low as $9 and three-course dinner specials as low as $12.

Natalie Mendell, one of the organizers behind the event, says Restaurant Week is good for consumers as well as businesses.

"We've heard from the businesses that they've gotten new customers, some of the restaurants have said they've seen a huge increase in sales," the Grand Street BID program director says.
