More than 1,000 merry revelers dressed in red hit the streets for New York City's annual SantaCon pub crawl. The crawl kicked off in Williamsburg this year before participants went on to Manhattan.

More than 1,000 merry revelers dressed in red hit the streets for New York City's annual SantaCon pub crawl.
The crawl kicked off in Williamsburg this year before participants went on to Manhattan.
Extra NYPD patrols were out to ensure safety.
This year, organizers sought to quell concerns about drunken debauchery. Railroads implemented a no-alcohol policy aboard trains into the city.
Event organizers say money from each ticket sale goes toward charity. They say $60,000 was raised this year.
