Coney Island's seasonal opening got off to a rocky start on Sunday when riders got stuck on the iconic Cyclone roller coaster.
The 88-year-old coaster stopped mid-ride around noon.
Everyone was able to evacuate the ride and walk out safely.
"I'm going up, I'm going up. It stops," said rider David Zubin. "And I'm like, oh God. No. Not happening to me."
A spokesperson said the ride was shut down because of a belt problem. Technicians are working to repair it and they hope it will be back up and running soon.
