Hundreds of Riverdale students walked to school Wednesday to get some exercise, be environmentally friendly and prove a point.
The walk was part of the national Walk To School Day, but the P.S. 24 students especially wanted the public to be aware of a dangerous intersection near their school.
"Every day that we don't have a stop sign or a light, kids are at risk," says Cliff Stanton, whose child is a student at P.S. 24.
The city's Department of Transportation says it is conducting a 12-week study at the intersection to determine what action, if any, they'll take.
