Rockaway Beach in Queens has temporarily closed off its waters to swimmers after another shark sighting on Saturday.
New York City Department of Parks & Recreation said on Twitter, "Beachgoers are not allowed in the water at this time, but the boardwalk and concessions remain open. We will reopen the beach when it is safe to do so.”
This is the second shark sighting in the area in recent days.
At least five people have been bitten by sharks at Long Island beaches this summer.
