A piece of a building's roof wall collapsed in Bed-Stuy on Tuesday afternoon, hitting two workers who were on the scaffolding.
The collapse took place at a construction site at 148 Stuyvesant Ave. The Department of Buildings were called to the bilding and discovered that just above the fourth level of the building, 20 feet of the edge of that building's roof wall came crashing down.
First responders rushed both workers to Kings County Hospital where they are currently in stable condition. People in the area tell News 12 that those workers were under the debris for at least 10 minutes.
The NYPD blocked off the area and are currently investigating the scene. The Department of Buildings says that the scaffolding company has been contacted to make emergency repairs.
