The Salvation Army cooked up an early Thanksgiving dinner for some seniors in Bensonhurst Wednesday, then sent them home with fresh chickens for the actual holiday.
Many of those who flocked to the event say they appreciate the meal because they live alone and their children are far away.
Around New York as a whole, the Salvation Army says it served more than 11,000 meals.
