The Scandinavian community came together Saturday to host the 20th annual Viking Fest at Owl's Head in Bay Ridge.
The Scandinavian East Coast Museum organized the event. Organizers of the event say that beyond Viking stereotypes there is more to the history of the Northern European people.
It includes bringing artists from locations the Vikings once inhabited.
There were artists from various cultures at the park. They each shared their story about how the Scandinavian community influenced their art.
The event took a pause last year due to the pandemic. Organizers said that while the pandemic may have slowed them down, they're preparing to crank out more events like this one later in the year.
