A school bus driver has been hospitalized after he was beaten during an apparent case of road rage.
Witnesses say the bus driver hit a man's car parked on Anthony Avenue just after 11:30 on Monday morning. A bodega's surveillance camera caught the incident on tape, showing a man punching the bus driver twice as he tries to walk away. The bus driver then fell to the ground and the man fled into an apartment building. Witnesses say at least five children were on the bus at the time of the incident. After a standoff with police and SWAT teams, the man was arrested more than an hour later.
A woman was also taken into custody and witnesses say she may have hidden the car to evade police. The bus driver is currently in critical condition at St. Barnabas Hospital.
