School bus drivers protested Friday at the arraignment of a man who is accused of brutally beating one of their own.
Employees from the Atlantic Express Company are gathering outside the Bronx Hall of Justice where Joseph Scott made an appearance on three counts of felony assault. Prosecutors say Scott critically injured 65-year-old Juan Del Valle while he was on the job Monday morning.
Police say Valle hit Scott's car with his school bus on Anthony Avenue and a heated argument ensued. Surveillance video allegedly shows Valle attempt to walk away before he's punched in the head and knocked to the ground.
According to family remembers, Valle remains on life support at Saint Barnabas Hospital.
Coworkers and loved ones say they are furious that Scott's bail was set at just $250,000.
