A 44-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a MTA bus Sunday afternoon in East Flatbush, according to police.
The crash happened just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Church Avenue and Linden Boulevard.
"You got cars coming from each way and they all speeding, public transportation, taxis," said Jimmy, an East Flatbush resident, about the intersection.
The stretch of Linden Boulevard from Kings Highway and Church to Kings Highway and East 94th Street has seen nearly 2,000 crashes since 2011, according to crashmapper data.
"It's designed like a highway yet it's a neighborhood street, so all the infrastructure here is encouraging drivers to speed up and go as quickly as possible," said Alexa Sledge, director of Communications for Transportation Alternatives.
