A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday morning in Marine Park.
It happened at the intersection of Fillmore Avenue and East 38th Street at 11:51 a.m.
The victim was driving west when he collided into the side of a moving Toyota vehicle and was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
Witnesses say they heard a boom and rushed outside to find the man laying in the street, a considerable distance from the scooter.
Residents on the street say the intersection, which does not have a four-way stop, is known for previous crashes.
NYPD tells News 12 the driver stayed at the scene, and no criminality is suspected.
