Residents of a Bronx building are back in their apartments Wednesday after a fire ? the second one in less than a year.
Tenants of 985 Anderson Ave. were evacuated Tuesday night after a fire broke out on the sixth floor. A mother and daughter were taken to a hospital and eight units were damaged.
Residents say they doubt repairs will be made in a timely manner since the landlord is still making repairs from a fire in March last year on the fifth floor. Some tenants complain they are dealing with charred walls, broken windows and other issues.
The superintendent maintains that repairs will be made soon.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the latest fire.
